This add-on brings the splendours of The Rhine Railway to life, featuring one of Europe’s largest freight marshalling yards and an 80-kilometer route bustling with commuter, high-speed, and freight traffic.
The route recreates the historic line from Mannheim to Karlsruhe, opened in 1870 as an alternative to the Baden Mainline. Travel through the Upper Rhine Plain with its straight tracks, parallel to the Rhine Valley Railway, and witness landmarks like the massive Mannheim Rangierbahnhof, stretching six kilometers and covering 200 hectares.
Included locomotives and trains: DB BR 406 ICE 3M in DB livery, DB BR 189 in DB Red livery, DB BR 425 in S-Bahn Red livery, DB BR 294 in DB Red livery (Quick Drive only), and associated freight wagons. Enjoy seven engaging scenarios: Night Containers, Rheinau Replacement, Schwetzingen Freight, Karlsruhe Commute, Mannheim Bound, Refreezing the Ice, and Southbound to Karlsruhe.
