Fix Common Issues for Minecraft / Mojang

The card already has already been redeemed

If you get a message that lets you know the card has already been redeemed, visit account.mojang.com/me to see if it was redeemed on your own account. If it's not on your account, please contact Microsoft Support or the Mojang support from to see if it was redeemed on your own account. 


This PIN code is invalid 

If you receive the error "This PIN code is invalid", please make sure that you are typing the digits correctly. Usually, if you encounter an issue that prevents you from redeeming a gift code, it is due to a typo or the addition of extra space when trying to redeem it. Please be sure that you enter the code exactly as it appears. Best to enter it in this format XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX


Open or Save a file while redeeming the code

If our site asks you to open or save a file while redeeming your card, please visit www.enable-javascript.com to ensure that you have Javascript enabled.


Unable to redeem code

If you have entered a prepaid PIN at https://www.minecraft.net/redeem exactly as it appears on the card and it does not work, or if you have received an error stating that we are currently unable to redeem prepaid cards, or that an error has occurred, please try again in an hour or two to rule out a temporary server outage. If you continue to be unable to redeem your card, please open a new support ticket by following the instructions below. 


Having trouble redeeming Minecraft Windows 10 Edition code

Please be advised that you are not able to redeem gift codes for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition on the Minecraft/Mojang website, these are redeemed in the Microsoft Store. If you need help with your code for Minecraft for Windows 10, please check the How to redeem Minecraft for Windows 10.
