Sometimes it is easy to get certain letters and numbers confused. Please try the below suggestions to ensure that you are entering the correct code:

  • The number 0 (try entering the letter Q or D instead)
  • The number 1 (try entering the letter I instead)
  • The letter O (try entering the letter Q or D instead)

Check instances of the following pairs to ensure these characters are not being confused:

  • The letter B and the number 8
  • The letter G and the number 6

 

I recently added Steam Wallet funds but they have not appeared, what do I do?

In most cases, the new funds will automatically be displayed in your account. If the issue persists for more than two hours after completing your transaction, please do the following:

  • Confirm you are logged in to the account that made the purchase (the account will be shown on the emailed receipt)
  • Restart the Steam Client

 

Can Steam Wallet funds be gifted, withdrawn or transferred to another Steam account?

No, wallet funds cannot be moved or withdrawn to a bank account. Once a Steam Wallet code has been redeemed on an account, the wallet funds are then tied to that account. If you would like to buy another user Steam Wallet funds, please purchase a Steam Wallet code.

 

How do I view my Steam Wallet balance?

  • Log in to your Steam account.
  • The current available balance will be listed in the upper right-hand corner, below your profile name.

How do I enable the Family Library Sharing on my computer?

To enable Family Library Sharing, first, be sure you have Steam Guard security enabled via Steam > Settings > Account in the Steam Client. Then enable the sharing feature via Settings > Family, (or in Big Picture mode, Settings > Family Library Sharing,) where you'll also authorize specific computers and users to share.

NOTE: Due to technical limitations, some Steam games may be unavailable for sharing. For example, titles that require an additional third-party key, account, or subscription in order to play cannot be shared between accounts.

Can all Steam games be shared?

No, due to technical limitations, some Steam games may be unavailable for sharing.

For example, titles that require an additional third-party key, account, or subscription in order to play cannot be shared between accounts.

DLC may not be shared if the borrower also owns the base game.

Free to play games and any purchased DLC for those games is also not supported for Family Sharing.

In addition, if your account has a VAC ban, you will be unable to share any VAC-protected games.
